Editing your story saves

Save Forge only edits values inside a save you already own. It does not decrypt or re-sign console saves — bring a decrypted save in, take an edited save out.

  1. 1 · Copy the save to USB

On PS4: Settings → Application Saved Data Management → Saved Data in System Storage → Copy to USB. On PS5: Settings → Saved Data → PS5/PS4 Games → Copy to USB Drive.

  2. 2 · Load it into Save Forge

Drop the save file (savedata0, data0.bin, *.json, *.sav) on the editor page. Format, title ID (CUSA/PPSA) and region (US/EU/JP/Asia) are detected automatically.

  3. 3 · Edit what you need

Values are grouped into currency, items, stats, story progress and unlock flags. Use the Max button for your preset value, or the Value hunter if you know an exact in-game total.

  4. 4 · Export and copy back

Export writes a new file (plus an untouched backup by default). Put it back in the same folder on USB and copy to console storage. PS5-encrypted saves must be re-signed with your account before they load.

Single-player only

Keep edits to offline story modes. Modified values in online or shared-progression modes can get an account restricted, and extreme numbers can overflow a game's own counters — the value cap in Settings exists for exactly that reason.
